SNV Netherlands Development Organization is a not-for-profit international development organization founded in the Netherlands nearly 50 years ago. Our mission is to promote inclusive development, systemic change, local ownership and contextualized solutions. Our team works with local partners to empower communities, businesses and organizations with the tools, knowledge and networks they need to increase their incomes and gain access to basic services – empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and guide their own development.
SNV has earned the respect and trust of the Ghanaian people over the past 22 years of uninterrupted service. SNV Ghana contributes to sustainable poverty reduction as articulated in the Ghana Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy, the national development blueprint, which is in line with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Since 2012, SNV has focused its activities in three main sectors; agriculture, renewable energy and water, sanitation & hygiene. An added key strength is our extensive local presence on the ground.
